Restore, Reconnect, Rejuvenate: An Open Institute for Teacher Writers

CRWP Summer 2022 FlyerRestore, Reconnect, Rejuvenate!

This summer, June 13-17, 2022, teacher leaders from the Chippewa River Writing Project offer our colleagues an opportunity for restoration, reconnection, and rejuvenation through writing.

At the end of another unique school year, we welcome you to bring renewed joy to your teacher’s soul by participating in enriching teaching demonstrations led by CRWP leaders and sharing your personal and professional writing through peer response groups.

We will gather in a “HyFlex format” via Zoom, or by joining onsite at one of two locations at North Branch Elementary School or Clare Pioneer High School.

  • Monday – Friday
  • June 13-17, 2022
  • 9:00 AM to 12:15 PM ET
  • 15 Total Hours

Throughout the week, participants will engage in many writing activities, building community and practicing their writing skills with genres including poetry, memoir, and digital storytelling.

The registration cost of $100 includes the cost of 15 SCECHs for Michigan teachers (pending approval). The teacher leader for our Open Institute is Troy Hicks. Please contact him with questions at <troy.hicks@cmich.edu>.

Registrations are fully refundable through June 1, 2022. At that point, registrations are transferable, but not refundable.

We will require a minimum of ten registrants by June 8, 2022. If we do not meet the minimum, full refunds will be issued.
