As we continue our walk down memory lane, we’ll feature our 2017-2018 school year. It was a busy one for the CRWP!
We tried out a modified version of the invitational leadership institute by partnering with Cadillac Area Public Schools to implement the ILI over the course of the school year in a single district. We were able to include K-12 teachers and Liz Brockman arranged for CMU pre-service teachers to sub so that participants could observe demonstration lessons from their colleagues in classrooms around the district!
In June of 2018, we spent a week in the Mount Pleasant School District for an intensive mini-institute!
Then in August of 2018, we launched what would become a 2-year PD implementation of the NWP’s College, Career, and Community Writers Program in Carson City-Crystal Schools.
Oh! And we brought a cohort of teachers to CMU’s Beaver Island Biological Station for a week of inquiry and collaboration!
And we attended and presented at the first NWP Midwest Conference in Madison!
And we hosted Gerald Graff and Cathy Birkenstein, authors of They Say / I Say: The Moves That Matter in Academic Writing at CMU for a one-day conference!
Whew! What an amazing year for CRWP!
