CRWP Saturday Sessions
Are you interested in “test driving” a presentation? In gathering new ideas from colleagues? In extending the Summer Institute throughout the school year? Then CRWP’s Saturday Seminars are just for you.
Continuing with the “teachers teaching teachers” model of the NWP, we will fine-tune demonstrations facilitated by TCs, incorporating promising practice as it relates specifically to adult learners in professional development settings. Presenting TCs may prepare work they intend to bring to various conferences (MCTE, NCTE, MACUL, MRA), PD they intend to facilitate under the umbrella of the CRWP, or workshops they intend to conduct within their own schools. Attending TCs (and their guests) are asked to offer warm and cool feedback via a protocol, and, of course, everyone will have plenty of DONUTS!
Each Saturday Session will be held from 9:00-1:00 in room 422 of the EHS Building on the following dates with the (tentative) following presenters/topics:
October 2, 2010 – Penny Lew – Creating a Digital Story
November 13, 2010 – Amanda Smoker & Shannon Powell
February 19, 2011 - Debbi Meister & Liz Brockman
March 19, 2011 – Erin Busch-Grabmeyer
April 30, 2011 – Delia King, Elizabeth Miller, & Bridget Rise
All CRWP TCs are encouraged to attend any session and to bring a teaching colleague. Let’s share a taste of what a Summer Institute is about!
Penny Lew is facilitating this CRWP series, “Saturday Seminars: Honing Your Presentation Skills.”
Pre-registration is encouraged to ensure an adequate supply of donuts. If you are interested in participating in this CRWP activity or if you have questions, please email Penny at: penalew@gmail.com
