1 Response to The TOLI Seminar in NYC

  1. This was great, Jill; a wonderful reminder of my own TOLI experience in NYC in 2009. Thanks for sharing! Felt like I was back at Olga’s Table as I read your reflections.

As Jill shared, TOLI does support seminars based on the TOLI model (which is based on the NWP model) all over, including a yearly program here in Michigan, hosted at the Holocaust Memorial Center in Farmington Hills. Like the NYC program, TOLI allows us to generously support our teachers as we provide outstanding PD in Holocaust content and pedagogy. We have had attendees from Crossroads Writing Project attend our summer program, and we always love working with teachers who bring an NWP perspective to the work we share.

The NYC TOLI program draws from a national applicant pool; our Michigan program is really focused on Holocaust education in a Michigan context. If you are looking for something a little closer to home, please take a look at our program in Michigan, which will be hosted in July. We are currently accepting applications for this summer: https://www.toli.us/michigan-application/.

Please feel free to contact me directly at the Holocaust Educator Network of Michigan website, or through Troy Hicks.
